PaperCoverUP

Jumping back into crafts shows was a little daunting!  I have changed my style, my artistic creations and my attitude.  I have discovered via other blogs and crafters that you have to "love" what you do and or create, so to describe my love of style would be quite long winded .. old, shabby, distressed, industrial and then mix in a little potterybarnish and restoration hardware look and you have my new style.  Now I want to combine my love of covering anything with paper with collecting my favorite old things and feature them so that others would enjoy  incorporating my creations into their lives....

I'm trying this blogging thing again...Lets test posting photos...

Ok, didn't work...now going to try from the laptop.....

I have alot of scrapbooking embellishments and paper scraps! I decided to see what I could do with them, so here is the little girl plaque I came up with. I painted over a dollar store plaque then added some white, which made a perfect backgroud for my silloutte girl, a sweet bingo card and a few flowers, wha laa,, little girl plaque! What do you think about using dollar store finds for creating your treasures? Colleen

I have been moving things around my house with the thoughts of use what you already have.
I do need to refocus on under the buffet, the basket there is a bit to big. I think I will change out the birdcage with seasonal decorations. What do you think? Should I have something above the bird cage or leave that wall space empty? Colleen

Well I'm not to sure what has been happening, but I haven't been able to post until now. I have plenty of pictures to update but my camera is with my nephew for the time being. I took a little break from being creative and now I'm back. I tried to organize my space, but let's face it, organizing is a great weak point of mine, and I a Virgo! unthinkable! I'm still struggling with tiredness, but hopefully I will regain all my creative energy. Well I;m off to try and organize my ribbons. Colleen
Testing to see if posting will show up.

I'm so excited for the River City Gift Shoppe Copley Picker Days event that will take place on August 19 and 20th. Both my paper art booth and my vintage finds will be on sale.

I made this journal, along with others, Friday. I will be taking them and some new handmade signs to my booth, River City Gift Shoppes, Copley, Ohio.

I had a terrific Saturday morning searching garage sales with my friend Kim. I found what I was looking for, vintage luggage! 2 black pieces and 1 blue plaid print; all 3 are in wonderful condition. I have washed the outsides and now I'm airing out the insides. The process of lightly misting several times over the opened luggage is leaving a fresh smell, thanks to Lysol Spray. I also found vintage books, vintage lace (an entire bolt from Canada) and vintage Christmas ornaments. I cannot believe I'm buying Christmas items, but I did!

It has been a busy week. River City Gift Shoppe flooded with the rains and my booth was hit pretty bad. I lost the bottom 2 shelves of merchandise. I have been working steadily to rebuild my inventory, so please forgive me for not posting. I will update with new pictures soon. Colleen

I like this corner wall, the picture of Ash is from her high school senior pictures. The lab liked her photo and enlarged it!! They also gave me a copy!! I may change the frame, not sure yet?! I use the loft as my working area. This work area is still in the organizing process, more pictures will be posted when the room is completed!
Some of my recent journals!
